I’ve had my Alesis DM6 drumset up and running for a couple days and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Up until now any electronic drumset in the $500 range was nothing more than a toy. Because I know that Alesis knows how to make great electronic drumsets I was hoping that their experience making higher end kits would trickle down to this brand new DM6 line. It did. This drumset is fabulous when you consider the price point and, in fact, has no real competition that I could find.

We bought this drum set for my granddaughter’s 6th birthday in November and she not could have been more excited and pleased. The set was relatively easy for my son-in-law to put together and my granddaughter was able to play on the drums, etc. right away. I had read very good reviews of the drum set before puchasing it and it appears that the reviews were all true. The Pink drum set is well made, sturdy, right-sized for children and has a decent sound. All around a real winner!

I am in 2 bands, a metal band and a punk band, and they both love my set. I have been playing drums 4 years before buying this set, rendering it a great kit for beginners, intermediates, and even the better drummers who cant afford much. My favorite part about the set is the ability to add to it. I have bought a 8×10 and a 10×10 add-on drum kit for the set and I bought an extra bass drum. For drummers who really want a big, expanded set for cheap prices, get this. The quality is THE best i have seen on a drumset of this price. My friend came over when I got it andthought that it was a maple set (for those who dont know, maple is the best quality wood you can get for drums)! If you’re on a budget but want GREAT quality, BUY THIS DRUMSET.
